ICANN Begins Consultation For Protection Of Registrants

The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) recently announced an opening for comments on how to protect registrants. Essentially they’re asking for more input on what safeguards to put in for end-users like you and me.

Historically, ICANN hasn’t really done much in the way of introducing measures to address registrants’ interests. Then again, interests are so diverse it’s really hard to figure out what needs addressing to begin with.

Already a few comments have been trickling in. The “tricky” part, really, is giving as much specifics as possible based on things that actually happened.

Try to take some time to read through the comments and the related policies. Then have a go.
