Network Solutions Sued For Alleged Fraud

I guess it was bound to happen. I blogged before that Network Solutions started reserving domain names searched in their site but weren't registered on the spot. A lawfirm has finally sued Network Solutions for allegedly defrauding consumers due to this practice. ICANN was also named in the suit.

My Thoughts On Dynadot and Wikileaks.org

A few days ago, I blogged about domain registrar Dynadot shutting down the website for Wikileaks.org. That's something I feared would happen one day. Since then, there's been lots of discussion about it. Not surprisingly, most of them touched on First Amendment rights...and a whole lot more.

Domain Registrar Shuts Down Website

I was just browsing through Wikipedia when something caught my eye. It was a headline for one of their news articles for the day. The headline mentioned that a website and its registrar were sued. It turns out the registrar shut down the domain name, disabling any website and/or email access to it.
