Nowadays it costs like $8+ a year to register for one. And that’s surely going to be higher once prices for .com domain names go up on January 15, 2012.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to get a .com domain name for just $1.99? If there’s an opportunity to do that, would you take it?
Well, here’s your chance. As in you can indeed get a .com domain name for just $1.99!
I’m not kidding. You pay that if you register or transfer your domain name over, plus get a few freebies.
I blogged about NameCheap’s $1.99 offer a few weeks ago. They’ll allow you to do that if they get 10,000 Facebook likes by October 4.
Today’s the date, and NameCheap has succeeded! I’m impressed.
Because of that, they’ve agreed to finally make that offer public. It’s got some strings attached like any offer, though.
Just click the link below, or copy and paste it on another browser window to learn more:

A few reminders about the coupon:
- It can be used only once for one domain.
- It can be used on one account only.
- The coupon will be valid from October 05 12:00 AM to October 05 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) only.
Regrettably I won’t be able to use that. But that’s because I’ve got enough domain names on my hands already.
I know that’s not much. Still, take advantage of it if/when you can!
